Music Together Preschool
Music Together's preschool music program uniquely integrates music experiences at home with those in school to create a music-making community which help your child develop language, cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.
In line with our commitment to provide music as part of our preschool curriculum, ELV is a qualified provider of licensed Music Together program. Children will hear and sing fifty to seventy-five songs a year and become familiar with important aspects of music-making. This includes moving in rhythm, singing in various tonalities, improvising, listening, dancing and using language in musical ways.
The International Early Years Curriculum
The International Early Years Curriculum is a reputed research based curriculum based on international best practices in early childhood education for young children between 2 to 5 years of age. It is a comprehensive curriculum focused explicitly on developing children’s learning. The unique units of work help children acquire knowledge, skills and understanding in active, exciting and involved classroom environments. At the very heart of the IEYC are clearly defined learning goals for all areas of learning, personal development and international understanding.
Our curriculum based on the IEYC, offers opportunities for skill development in Language, Mathematics & Science and promises social and emotional growth for children.
Jolly Phonics has evolved over forty years of practice, starting from the UK in 1977. It is a fun-filled and child-centered approach to teach children to read and write. Children are first taught the letter sounds, which build up to achieve full pronunciation of whole words.
At ELV, we teach children the five basic skills for reading and writing using the Jolly Phonics framework. Children learn 42 main letter sounds in the English language, how to form letters and blend these letter sounds to say words, as well as spell some tricky ones.
